Glass Art Society Conference: Forming Frontiers
This year, Portland will host the 38th annual Glass Art Society Conference from June 19-21. This year's theme, Forming Frontiers, reflects on the historical development of glass, while looking at the continued exploration of glass that has pushed the craft in new directions over the past several decades. The Museum will host the annual International Student Exhibition, showcasing the work of developing artists from around the globe. In conjunction with the conference, The Gallery will feature a special showcase of contemporary glass art in June and July. A broad selection of new work by Gallery glass artists will be available for purchase.
